AZUL RIVIERA is one of the largest Villas in Akumal with over 4,500 square feet of living space. It is located on Yal-ku Lagoon, and has easy private access to this enormous outdoor aquarium.
This calm lagoon has a crystal clear water and many species of colorful tropical fish protected from the surf. In addition to lagoon access, AZUL RIVIERA also has its own private beach and it's own private swimmable cenote in the backyard. A cenote is a salt water pool formed naturally in the limestone.
The villa has four bedrooms and three bathrooms: ground floor has two large bedrooms and there is a smaller
Children`s bedroom, a master suite upstairs and a third floor mirador (lookout) that contains a daybed area. There is a Jacuzzi tub in one downstairs bathroom. In addition both large downstairs bedrooms have lofts containing two twin beds. The upstairs master bedroom has its own private sun deck, a large tile tub and separate shower.
Downstairs there is a large full kitchen just off of the Great Room, which is both a dining area and living area with a cathedral ceiling. There is enough room to easily accommodates 17-20 people for dining or a party.
Outside there is a fountain on the hacienda style patio and two palapas. The large palapa (1200ft) is excellent for entertaining with it's wet bar, seating at tables and is cooled by overhead fans. The swimming pool (12' x 30') is between the large palapa and the cenote & lagoon. The other palapa is located beach side to the Yal-ku Lagoon.
In addition to the villa, AZUL RIVIERA also has a small (3 room), but complete, casita to provide private detached housing for your guests or staff. Attached to the casita is the car port and the laundry room.
The property has a large variety of tropical vegetation, flowers, 2 types of banana trees and several citrus trees.
Wetlands were built & certified in 1998.

There is a 25,000 Lt cistern under the fountain patio. This stores the municipal water and saves roof runoff rainwater.
There is 4000 Lt in the cistern under the Mirador, which will supply emergency gravity flow water in times of electrical outages.
